A thumbnail succeeds when its subject and promise remain legible at small size.

Review workflow

Open the exported image, zoom out to approximate its destination and circle the element that gets lost. Suggest a tighter crop or simpler contrast hierarchy, then evaluate the revised thumbnail at small size again.
