The studios
What is the Framink feedback studio?
The feedback studio is where you open a file and draw on it, frame by frame, right in your browser. Nothing to install, nothing to upload, no account needed to start. Framink has two studios: one for everything flat — video, images, PDFs, audio, web pages — and one for 3D models. They share the same tools, the same shortcuts and the same way of sharing feedback.
Flat files
Feedback studio 2D
The 2D studio is the heart of Framink. Drop a video on the homepage and the studio opens instantly: the file never leaves your browser while you draw. You scrub the timeline, pick a frame and draw exactly where you want a change. Every drawing is attached to its frame, so feedback stays anchored to the moment it refers to.
It is made for reviewing moving images: animation, video editing, motion design, PDF decks, storyboards, screenshots and audio. Everything becomes a timeline — a PDF turns into a 25 fps video where each page is a frame, and audio shows its waveform you can scrub while listening.
What you can open
- Video files (MP4, WebM, MOV and more) and images
- YouTube links — paste a link, review frame by frame
- PDF documents — up to 300 pages, one page per frame
- Audio files — full waveform plus a zoomed, auto-following view
- GIFs and web pages — paste a link to capture a page
What you can do
- Draw on any frame with a pen, text, shapes (square, circle, triangle, line, arrow) and an eraser — hold Shift for straight lines and perfect squares
- Set the opacity of your drawing from 0 to 100%
- Use onion skin: see the previous frames faintly behind the current one, so you can judge movement
- Trace a motion path: mark where an object goes, frame by frame, then drag its points with the selection tool
- Select, move and delete anything you drew
- Scrub the timeline with audio, zoom it around the mouse, and scroll thumbnails with the wheel
- Leave comments that sit on top of each thumbnail, and move them anywhere
- Export the annotated frames, or share the review with a link
3D models
Feedback studio 3D
The 3D studio is built for reviewing models in the browser: characters, props, sets, rigs and animated assets. Drop a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or FBX file and the model appears in a real 3D viewport. You orbit around it, play or scrub its animation, and draw on top of the render — so feedback says exactly what you see from where you see it.
Each time you change the camera angle before annotating, Framink creates a new feedback card. A thumbnail shows the model from that exact angle with your drawing on top, so a review of a full turntable reads as a list of shots, each with its own notes. On animated models you can also trace a motion path through space and time.
What you can open
- GLB, GLTF, OBJ and FBX models — converted to GLB in your browser, no upload to convert
- Models up to 200 MB when your workspace is connected to Google Drive
- Animations play and scrub like a video timeline
How it works
- Orbit the view — a new angle means a new feedback card, so one review covers many viewpoints
- Draw on the render with the same pen, text, shapes and eraser as the 2D studio
- Trace motion paths on animated models to review movement in space
- Each thumbnail previews the model from the annotated angle, drawing included
- Rotate the view with tablet or stylus without accidentally moving the camera
